Mohammad and his family arrived in Toronto about three months ago from a refugee camp in Lebanon. Since then, we have the privilege of getting to know them and meeting at their apartment every Tuesday night for a potluck dinner. These casual events over a variety of Canadian, Chinese and Middle Eastern food have slowly becoming our time for learning, sharing and starting a friendship that goes beyond language, culture and religion.

Here, Mohammad and his daughter shared a moment together.
